DAWSON -- Dawson-Boyd lit up the scoreboard from three-point range to earn its first win of the season and in the Camden North Conference, 72-67 over Renville County West Tuesday.
The Blackjacks (1-1, 1-3) sank 9-of-22 treys and also made twice as many free throws -- 15 to RCW's seven -- to put the game away.
Ian Hansen led Dawson-Boyd with 17 points. Dutch Hansen followed with 14 and Jordan Dahl added 13. Both made three 3-pointers each. Matt Wold, who finished with 12 points, also grabbed 14 rebounds.
Chad Mulder scored 13 points for the Jaguars (0-2, 1-3). Tyler Kleinhuizen had 12, and Andy Erickson and Casey Lippert added 10 each.

Jared Johnson, who finished with 31 points, nailed a mid-range jumper with five seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. Johnson then hit another jump shot to put Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg (2-0, 4-0) ahead for good at 65-64.
Jason Fernholz piled up 17 points and seven rebounds while Grant Johnson had nine assists, eight steals and seven points for the Fighting Saints.
