MONTEVIDEO -- Montevideo's Tyler Grey scored his 1,000th-career point as the Thunder Hawks pounded Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 85-41 in West Central South conference basketball Friday.
Grey, a junior, reached the milestone on an approximately 16-foot jump shot halfway through the first half. He finished with 17 points.
Montevideo rattled off 53 points in the first half, while holding the Falcons to 17.
Tramel Barnes led the Thunder Hawks with 18 points. Todd Bergeson added 17 points. Nolan Jaspersen had 10 rebounds and Barnes followed with eight.
Kyle Johnson's 13 points paced ACGC. Bryce Thorp grabbed six boards.
