Boys Basketball: Lakeview, MACCRAY win; stay tied for lead in Camden North

KERKHOVEN -- Justin Johnson of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg scored a career-high 36 points, but it wasn't enough as the Fighting Saints fell to Camden North Conference leader Lakeview, 79-72, Thursday.

Litchfield (5-6, 7-12) came back from a four-point deficit to force overtime. Tyler Puckett scored, Annandale missed two free throws and Peter Zender scored a layup with two seconds left.

However, Annandale won the game from the free-throw line and three-point range, literally.

The Cardinals made 11-of-48 shots from the field and all 11 (of 38 attempts) were from behind the three-point arc.

Zender paced the Dragons with 13 points, followed by Kent Johnson with 12. Michael Bruesewitz pulled down a game-high 19 rebounds and added six assists.
