CLARA CITY -- After losing by 20 points in an earlier meeting with Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg, MACCRAY went one better. Actually, 10 better.
The Wolverines shot a torddi 62 percent en route to winning their sixth straight game with an 84-54 rout of the Fighting Saints in a Camden North Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night.
MACCRAY clinched a tie for the conference title with Lakeview with 11-3 records.
Zach Thissen poured in 26 points, including four 3-pointers, and Justin Koenen added 16 points, 14 assists asnd seven steals for the Wolverines (14-5 overall). Brock Madsen was next with 11 points.
For KMS (7-7, 12-8), which beat the Wolverines 70-50 on Dec. 19 in Kerkhoven, Sam Kavanagh had 12 points and nine rebounds.

The Bluejays (1-13, 2-18) came as close as four points with about 1:20 remaining in the game, but Lakeview (11-3, 15-6) made six free throws to pull away.
CMCS stayed close by hitting 59 percent (10 of 17) from three-point range.

Mike Schwitters scored a game-high 25 points, including five 3-pointers, and nine rebounds for CMCS. Jordan Zondervan had a double-double of 17 points and 12 boards.
