MADISON -- Jon Altena had 13 points and eight rebounds and Tyler Grey added 12 points as Montevideo clinched at least a tie for the West Central South Conference title with a 51-43 win over Lac qui Parle Valley Tuesday night.
Tramel Barnes and Nolan Jasperson had 10 rebounds each for Montevideo.
For LQPV, R.J. Strand had 16 points and Brady VanderVelde had 13.

Daniel Fragodt pumped in 24 points, Joey Fragodt and Tyler Guest added 17 points apiece and Jesse Holm had 12 point and 10 rebounds as the Braves stayed on the heels of Montevideo in the South race. Joey Fragodt also had eight rebounds and six assists.
Benson plays at Montevideo Friday in the final conference game and needs a win to share the title.
For YME, Casey Luepke had 17 points and Luke Berg and Kenton Johnson had 10 apiece.
