BENSON -- New London-Spicer sank 30-of-42 free throws and tipped Benson 75-73 in West Central South boys basketball action Friday.

The Wildcats (5-2, 11-4) trailed 46-37 at halftime, but sank three 3-pointers in the first nine minutes of the second half to pull back in the game. NLS took the lead with four minutes left, then held off Benson's late charge. The Braves' tying shot at the buzzer rattled out.

Jordan Radel paced the Wildcats with 21 point, followed by Skylar Wachter with 16. Eric Tengwall grabbed 14 rebounds.

Benson's Jesse Holm led all scorers with 23 points and added 12 rebounds. Daniel Fragodt posted 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Brett Collins also had six assists.
