BELGRADE -- Hancock got 89 percent of its scoring from its starters as the Owls upended Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 73-69 in a non-conference game Monday.
Nick Giese paced Hancock (6-17) with 26 points with fellow starters Casey Gramm following with 14, Nathan Hacker 11, Tanner Gramm eight and Nate Holleman six.
Turnovers plagued BBE (8-17) in the second half as the Owls' 43-38 lead at halftime stood up.
BBE's starting five of Matt McCleary (19), Darren Braegelman (18), Jordan Weller (13), Andy Hadley (12) and Michael Rodgers (3) also combined to score 65 of their team's points. Braegelman hooked nine rebounds.
