NEW LONDON -- Wade Powers of New London-Spicer owned the paint Tuesday as the Wildcats beat Sauk Centre 52-36 in a West Central North Conference boys basketball game.
Powers, a 6-foot-4 junior center, blocked 13 shots, grabbed nine rebounds and scored 11 points for NLS (2-1, 6-3). He had nine blocks in the first half as the Wildcats took a 24-13 advantage at halftime.
Skylar Wachter also tallied 11 points for NLS.
