PIPESTONE -- Redwood Valley stayed unbeaten but not by much as Pipestone pushed the Cardinals to the limit on Friday night in a Southwest Conference boys basketball game.
Redwood left town with a 66-64 win to maintain a flawless record of 7-0 in the league and 15-0 overall. The Arrows missed a shot to tie at the horn.
Michael Felt led all scorers with 26 points for the Cardinals but it was the free throw shooting of Tyler Pendleton in the second half that kept the Cardinals afloat. He made 11-12 in the the second half and 13 of 16 for the game, plus one field, goal to finish with 15 points.
Dan Bonebright added nine points and nine rebounds.
David Jannssen paced the Arrows' upset bid with 17 points.
