REDWOOD FALLS -- Redwood Valley built up a big lead, then cruised into the championship game of its own boys basketball holiday tournament with an 85-53 win over Lakeview Wednesday.
The Cardinals (7-0) will face St. James, which beat Sibley East 58-46, for the title at approximately 8 p.m. tonight.
Redwood Valley dominated the first half, taking a 46-19 lead into the break.
Tyler Pendleton recorded a game-high 23 points to lead the Cardinals. Dan Bonebright followed with a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Mike Felt added 13 points. Both Pendleton and Felt sank three 3-pointers each.

Reid Neubauer had 20 points, Trent Neisen 15 and Bryce Steffel 11 to help BOLD (2-5) cruise into the championship. The Warriors will meet Watertown-Mayer today at 7 p.m. after the Royals beat McLeod West 55-39 in the other semifinal.
Neisen also hooked nine of the Warriors' 46 rebounds while Neubauer pocketed three steals. BOLD shot 57 percent from the field and held Holy Trinity to 16 points in the first half.
