NEW LONDON -- With the help of a big run midway through the second half and Erik Tengwall's 26 points, New London-Spicer remained unbeaten in the West Central North Conference after it drubbed Mora 81-67 Thursday.
The Wildcats (5-0, 7-3) owned a six-point lead at halftime and it stayed that way until the 11:25 mark of the second half.
NLS went on a 24-6 run -- highlighted by four 3-pointers on four consecutive possessions -- in an eight-minute span to take a comfortable 24-point lead.
Aaron Johnson and Jay Moten added 16 and 12 points, respectively, for NLS. Tengwall also piled up 15 rebounds, six assists and four steals.
