MADISON -- Brady VanderVelde netted 27 points to lead a group of four players that scored in double figures for Lac qui Parle Valley Monday in the Eagles' 75-66 non-conference win over Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg.
The Eagles (10-7) also got 12 points apiece from Adam Paulson, Jameson Siegert and R.J. Strand. The Eagles didn't make a three-pointer for the first time this season, but KMS (13-7) shot only 42 percent from the field. Paulson also handed out seven assists and grabbed six rebounds.
Jared Johnson had 15 points, Jason Fernholz 13, Nate Schlagel 11 and Justin Johnson 10 for the Fighting Saints. Fernholz also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.
