GLENWOOD -- Jordan Holte pumped in 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help Minnewaska beat New London-Spicer 63-49 Thursday, handing the Wildcats their first West Central North Conference loss of the season in the process.
Holte was 8-for-14 from the field and 13-for-17 at the free-throw line. The Lakers (6-5, 9-9) also got 16 points -- behind three 3-pointers -- from Ryan Kollman.
Todd Herman had 29 points and 12 rebounds to pace New London-Spicer.
Melrose beat Sauk Centre 60-44 Thursday to gain ground on the conference-leading Wildcats.
NLS dropped to 10-1 in the loop while Melrose improved to 9-2.
