MARSHALL -- Marhall scored three unanswered goals in the third period to eliminated Willmar 6-4 in the Section 3A boys hockey playoffs on Thursday.

Willmar got on the board first at the Schwan's Arena with Rory Schneider punching the puck past Tigers' goalie Paul Ivers at 12:10 of the first on a perfect set-up from Matt Odom.

That ended a streak of 18 unanswered goals by Marshall in a pair of season-ending wins over Sleepy Eye (13-0) and Dodge County (5-0).

Schneider also got Willmar's next two goals for a natural hat trick. Each was game-tieing coming 31 seconds and 15 seconds after Marshall had gone ahead, 2-1 in the second frame and 3-2 in the third.

A Jordan Baker goal on a deflection put Willmar up 4-3, but the Tigers would respond by scoring the next three goals.
