WILLMAR -- Badal Ali scored three times and Abdi Abdinasir scored once and assisted on three other goals as Willmar topped Central Minnesota Christian School 4-1 Saturday in a non-conference boys soccer match.
"Our midfield play was very solid," said Willmar coach Richard Courtney. "We were able to contain the ball in their end most of the time. But (CMCS goalkeeper Jacob VanOtterloo) played very well and made a number of good saves."
Willmar outshot CMCS 39-11.
Ali, on assists each time from Abdinasir, scored all three of his goals in the first half.
Abdinasir scored in the second half for the Cardinals on an assist from Ethan Vogel.
