WILLMAR -- Josh Aslesen and Andres Prada scored for Willmar Monday at Hodapp Field, allowing the Cardinals to tip the Little Falls Flyers 2-1 in a Central Lakes Conference soccer match.
The Parents' Day win avenged a 2-0 loss at Little Falls on Sept. 5.
"We played good defense overall," said coach Richard Courtney. "Goalie Ethan Vogel was solid and midfielders Jordan Benson and Gerado Eligio both played especially well."
Aslesen scored in the 39th minute, taking up a loose ball off a Flyer header. He deftly dribbled around the sweeper and planted a 17-yard shot to the right side of Flyers' goalie Zach Rekstad.
In the first minute of the second half, Prada one-timed a bouncing pass from Brad Leitch that found net on the right side.
