PRINSBURG -- Brenda Fay Brouwer, 55, of Prinsburg died Monday at her home following a battle with cancer.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Raymond Christian Reformed Church. Burial will be at Bunde Christian Reformed Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Tri-County Funeral Home in Prinsburg and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

She was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Willmar to George and Pearl (Asche) Swart. She grew up in the rural Raymond community and graduated from Central Minnesota Christian School in 1969.

She married Byron Brouwer on Sept. 15, 1972. They lived in Raymond and later moved to Prinsburg. She worked in banking for over 35 years, most recently at Prinsburg State Bank.

She was a member of the Raymond Christian Reformed Church, where she taught Gems, served as a young peoples leader, attended Bible study, helped in the library and served on several committees.

She is survived by her husband; children: Letisha Brouwer of Sundance, Wyo., Lance (and Jenna) Brouwer of Raymond; five grandchildren; and four sisters: Delores (and Calvin) Tebben of Prinsburg, Linda Host of Buffalo, Darlene (and Lowell) Bonnema of Plymouth and Lucinda (and Arlyn) Slagter of Omaha, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
