REDWOOD FALLS -- Brian Gary "Boo" Ahrens, 30, of Redwood Falls died Tuesday at his mother's home after a battle with skin cancer.
The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Cornerstone Christian Church in Redwood Falls. Burial is in the Beaver Falls Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the start of service Saturday at the church. Memorials are preferred. Arrangements are with The Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.
He was born Sept. 24, 1976, in Redwood Falls to Gary and Linda (Kodet) Ahrens. He attended grade school at Morton Public and graduated from Redwood Valley High School in 1995. During high school he worked at Bjerke's Holiday Station and at Doug's Lawn Care. He graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar and attended Bemidji State University. He worked for Divine House in Willmar and Lutheran Social Service in Bemidji, where he cared for mentally and physically handicapped people. He was employed by Lifeway Services in Duluth as a house director for adult foster care and also was providing personal care for vulnerable young adults in the Cloquet area. In April, he moved back to Redwood Falls.

He was a member of the 1995 RVHS State Tournament Basketball Team.
He is survived by his parents: Linda of Redwood Falls and Gary of Morton; brother: Craig (and Wendy) of Redwood Falls; and grandparents: Jerome and Clare Kodet of Redwood Falls.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
