WILLMAR -- Organizers of the Bridges out of Poverty workshop this week in Willmar are planning a second step -- a four-day training course for people who can present the program to area organizations.

A third step in the program will be to send the speakers out to communities, agencies, service clubs and other organizations.

"Poverty will end when enough people in our communities care enough to end it," said Deb Brandt of Heartland Community Action when she announced the training.

Those interested can call Brandt at 235-0850. The dates for the training have not been set yet. To register for the training, a person must have already attended the initial workshop presented by Jodi Pfarr.

There will be another opportunity to do that on Aug. 28 at Lac qui Parle Valley High School in rural Madison. Pfarr will present the workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required by Aug. 28 by calling 320-598-3118 or 1-800-443-4283. Registration forms are also available at Prairie Five Head Start.
