GLENWOOD -- Bruce Allen Sherlin, 62, of Glenwood died Friday at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.
The service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church in Glenwood. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home with parish prayers at 7 p.m.

He was born Aug. 16, 1944, in Glenwood to Marie and Arville Sherlin. He lived all his life in the Glenwood area. He graduated from Glenwood High School and went on to work at E.W. Wiley, cutting and shipping ice for the Soo Line Railroad. He later worked for Ace Hardware in Glenwood and then the state Department of Natural Resources as a general repair worker at the Glenwood Fish Hatchery for 27 years. He also worked part-time as a deputy for the Pope County Sheriff's Department in Lowry.
On April 26, 1980, he married Donna Wood. They lived in Glenwood.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
He is survived by his wife; stepdaughter: Melissa (and James) McConnell of Sartell; one stepgrandchild; his mother of Glenwood; sisters: Arlene Barsness of Maple Grove, Susan Haverhals of Laramie, Wyo., Gretchen Sherlin (and Mike Harkins) of Boise, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by his father.
