MEDFORD, Ore. -- Bruce R. Wallace, 90, of Medford, Ore., and formerly of Albert Lea, died Dec. 16 at his home.

He was born in Fairmont to Robert and Edna Wallace. He graduated from Fairmont High School. He served three years in the Army Air Corps during World War II with two of those years spent in the South Pacific.

He married Fran. He was the owner and president of the Wallace's stores in Albert Lea, Austin, Fairmont and Willmar. He retired and they moved to Lake San Marcos, Calif., where they lived for 20 years. In 2003, they moved to Medford, Ore., to be closer to family.

He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, and was a Rotarian, a Mason, and a Shriner. He was also a member of the American Legion, Chamber of Commerce and a life-member of the Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife; son: Robert (and Catherine) of Fairmont; daughter: Kay (and Dennis) Lair of Medford, Ore.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister.
