NEW LONDON - One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening west of New London when a motorcycle and passenger car collided as the car was making a left turn into a driveway.

Charles P. Abel, 46, of Maynard, the driver of the motorcycle, was transported to Rice Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol.

The driver of the car, Vincent C. Mische, 24, of New London, was not injured. According to the State Patrol report, Abel was not wearing a helmet; Mische was wearing a seat belt.

The State Patrol said the cause of the crash is pending further investigation.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
