DULUTH - The Carlton County Board of Commissioners will take comments on their proposed smoking ban during a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Monday in the meeting room of the Carlton County Transportation building, 1630 County Road 61 in Carlton.
The proposed ordinance would ban smoking in all public workplaces, including bars, restaurants and private clubs throughout the county. Several cities and towns in Carlton County already have some kind of smoking ban in place.
A copy of the draft ordinance is available on the Carlton County web page, www.co.carlton.mn.us , and also in the county auditor's office during regular business hours, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
