MORRIS -- Catherine "Kit" Kellen, 101, of Morris died Saturday at West Wind Village in Morris.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Morris.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, with a Daughters of Isabella rosary at 6 p.m., a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

She was born Sept. 29, 1905, in Lac qui Parle County to Albert and Anna (Alcorn) Schacherer. She grew up and attended school in Lac qui Parle County.

She married Camillus Kellen on Jan. 29, 1929. They farmed in the Madison area until the early 1940s. They moved to Morris. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Camillus died in 1970. She lived in the Morris area and moved to West Wind Village in 1995.

She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Gerald (and Rita) Kellen of San Angelo, Texas, Jerome Kellen of Minneapolis, Wesley (and Phyllis) Kellen, Betty Johnson, all of Winter Haven, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters: Yvonne and Marlys; two daughters-in-law: May and Ramona, one son-in-law: Ken Johnson; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; four sisters and five brothers.
