SAUK CENTRE – Robert Kohorst, 56, of Sauk Centre, was injured Saturday night when the snowmobile he was driving crashed on the Wobegon Trail.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, at around 7:19 p.m. Kohorst was driving a Polaris snowmobile west on the trail when he lost control and rolled the sled near the intersection of County Road 65.
Kohorst was taken to the Melrose Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s report.
He was wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The Melrose Police Department, Melrose Fire Department, Minnesota State Patrol and Minnesota DNR assisted at the scene.
