LITCHFIELD -- Charles Rudolph Ness Jr., 77, of Litchfield, died Tuesday at the Solara Hospital in McAllen, Texas.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Burial will be in Ness Memorial Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday.

He was born April 17, 1931, in Litchfield to Charles Sr. and Anna (Lindgren) Ness. He graduated from Litchfield High School. He then worked on the family farm until he took up interior decorating in Litchfield. He moved to the Twin Cities and continued to do interior decorating.
He married Joyce Tostenson on Feb. 15, 1975. He worked in the Twin Cities until he retired and they moved to Palisade. They began wintering in Texas in the early 1990s.
He was a member of the Sons of Norway and played the organ in church.
He is survived by his wife and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four siblings.
