BENSON -- Charles William "Bud" McGee, 88, of Benson died Wednesday at his home.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Visitation Catholic Church in Danvers. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to Swift County Benson Hospital. Arrangements are with the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
He was born May 13, 1920, near Danvers to John and Josephine (Mattheisen) McGee. He grew up on the farm and attended school through the eighth grade at District 39 in Six Mile Grove Township.
He married Evelyn Lageson on Dec. 28, 1945, in Benson. He was a farmer his entire life.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Farmer's Union, and the Danvers Senior Citizen's Club. He served as a 4-H Leader and was town board supervisor for Six Mile Grove for many years.
He is survived by his wife; two children: Robert (and Rosalie) McGee of Benson and Charlotte McGee of Danvers; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings: Margaret Erickson of Lamberton and Marion (and Walt) Butler of Villard.
He was preceded in death by siblings.
