GLENWOOD -- Charles W. Koubsky, 77, of Glenwood died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Glenwood. Burial will be at Lake Reno Cemetery. Visitation will be from...

GLENWOOD -- Charles W. Koubsky, 77, of Glenwood died Sunday at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Sacred Heart in Glenwood. Burial will be at Lake Reno Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home in Glenwood and for one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.

He was born on March 2, 1930, in Glenwood to Joseph and Antonia (Pronek) Koubsky. He grew up on a farm in Reno Township, where he attended country school. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.

He married Dorothy Schultz on Nov. 16, 1963, in Reno Township. In 1965, they purchased a farm northwest of Glenwood. He farmed until his retirement in 1999.

He was a town board member for 28 years.

He is survived by his wife; children: Mike (and Janet) of Swanville, Robert of St. Louis Park, Gary (and Michele) of Glenwood, and Jennifer Koubsky of the Twin Cities; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary (and Richard) Kaminski of Minneapolis, and Lillian Koubsky of Glenwood; brothers: Joe (and Janet), Antonia, and George (and Karen), all of Glenwood, and Frank (and Elaine) of Lowry.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angel, in 1968.
