Our Redeemer's Lutheran

BENSON -- The fall luncheon and bazaar will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson. Crafts, baked goods, garden produce. Noon lunch $4.

St. Clara's Catholic

CLARA CITY -- The parish bazaar and hog roast dinner will be from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Clara's Catholic Church in Clara City. Live music, country store, kiss the pig, kid's games, and more. Adults $4, ages 6-12 $3, pre-school $1. Polka Mass 9 a.m.

Kerkhoven Lutheran

KERKHOVEN -- A barbecue pork dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Kerkhoven Lutheran Church. Adults $5, ages 3-10 $3, ages 2 and under are free.

Vinje Lutheran

WILLMAR -- The youth will have a hamburger drive-in fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Vinje Lutheran Church in the parking lot, rain or shine. Everyone is welcome.

Mamrelund Lutheran

PENNOCK -- A fall fish fry will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Mamrelund Lutheran Church in Pennock. Adults $7, ages 6-12 $3, 5 and under are free.

First Presbyterian

WILLMAR -- Celebrate the seasons fall bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17 at the First Presbyterian Church in Willmar. Lefse making demonstration, baked goods, crafts, lunch available.

St. Donatus

BROOTEN --A turkey and ham dinner will be served from 11 am. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Brooten elementary school by St. Donatus Church.

United Methodist

HECTOR -- A chicken pie dinner will be served beginning at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at the United Methodist Church in Hector. Adults $7, ages 5-12 $3.50, preschool are free.

Christian Reformed

RAYMOND -- A roast beef dinner will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Raymond Christian Reformed Church. Free will offering. Fron Lutheran STARBUCK -- A fall harvest festival turkey supper will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 21 at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Adults $7, ages 6-10 $3, 5 and under are free.

Intimacy in Marriage for Couples

WILLMAR -- Douglas Weiss, Ph.D., will present a conference on spiritual, emotional and physical intimacy in marriage from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 16 at the Evangelical Free Church in Willmar. Weiss is a licensed professional counselor and has written several books including "Intimacy; A 100 Day Guide to Lasting Relationships." Freewill offering. Sex, Men and God Conference

WILLMAR -- Douglas Weiss, Ph.D., will present a conference on sex, men and God 9 a.m. to noon, Sept. 17 at the Evangelical Free Church in Willmar. Weiss is a licensed professional counselor. The first hour will provide men with practical skills on how to stay sexually free within a sexually insane culture and is for ages 16 and older after which high school participants will be excused. The second hour pertains to shepherding your sons sexually and the last hour, for married men only, will relate to a fulfilling sexual relationship with your wife. Freewill offering. CLARKFIELD -- The Rev. Svea Lutheran

SVEA -- The WELCA of the Svea Lutheran Church will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday. There will be election of new officers and a skit on "The Lord's Prayer" will be presented. Everyone is welcome.

Lakeland Conference WELCA

WILLMAR -- The Lakeland Conference Women of the ELCA will have its fall gathering beginning at 5 p.m. Sept. 29 at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. Speakers will be the Rev. Robert Kemppainen and Marlys Pearson. Registration deadline is Sept. 19, Call your local WELCA treasurer or call Shar Hagen at 796-5925.

Church news will be printed each Friday for all events within the next 14 days. This includes suppers, festivals, auctions and bazaars to raise money; monthly meetings and programs and visiting musicians outside of regular services. Special speakers and musicians during Sunday morning services and church choirs and programs will not be published. Christmas concerts and events will be listed in the Holiday Events list elsewhere in the paper. Concerts and plays for Lent and Easter will be listed beginning with Ash Wednesday through Easter Sunday. Mission trip participants and a short description about the trip will be published and action photos of the trip may be submitted for consideration. No group shots will be printed. Vacation Bible School will be listed once.
