WILLMAR -- Redeemer Lutheran Church will serve its fourth Thanksgiving Day dinner for the public at 11 a.m. Thursday. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Free tickets will be available at the church's office at 1401 6th St. S.W. in Willmar and at the church door on Thanksgiving Day.
Maxine Schmit, of Redeemer Lutheran Church, said the church served more than 300 people last year and was preparing for similar numbers. She said the church employees will serve Thursday's meal.
"There will probably be some volunteers from around, too," Schmit said. "I know I've had several calls that people want to help put it on."
Schmit said she suspects that a lot of the same guests show up for the church's Thanksgiving meal since there isn't another similar option in town.
