REDWOOD FALLS -- Clarence Paul Breitkreutz, 90, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Flora Township, Renville County, died Thursday at the Redwood Area Hospital in Redwood Falls.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Danube. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Renville.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Nelson-Martin Funeral Home in Redwood Falls and for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Memorials are preferred.

He was born Sept. 12, 1916, in Flora Township, Renville County, to Ferdinand H. and Augusta (Schmidt) Breitkreutz. He attended country school in District 18, graduated from Renville High School in 1936, and then helped his father on the farm.
He married Grace Gaffney on Jan. 5, 1941, in Renville. They lived and farmed in Flora Township for almost 64 years. They retired and moved to Redwood Falls in 2004.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council, and a member of Middle Creek School Board District 8. He was also a charter member of the OWLS organization.
He is survived by his wife; children: Larry (and Ramona) Breitkreutz of rural Renville, Richard (and Ida) Breitkreutz of St. Cloud, Howard (and Susan) Breitkreutz of Alexandria, Thomas (and Lois) Breitkreutz of rural Renville, Janice Potter (and Drew Osborne) of Redwood Falls; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three infant daughters: Carolyn, Sharon and Janet; one grandson; and five brothers.
