PRINSBURG -- Shean Gerdes scored 22 points and Adam Mikelson followed with 18 as Central Minnesota Christian upended BOLD 84-64 in the opener for both squads Tuesday.
The Warriors (0-1) got 25 points from Bret Neubauer. Jacob Brustuen had 20 of his 22 points in the second half for BOLD, which shot only 36 percent from the field, while CMCS (1-0) fired at a 56-percent clip.
David Poppema came off the bench for CMCS, which led 47-29 at halftime, with 13 points, eight rebounds, four steals and three assists. Brian Nelson added eight points, eight rebounds and four steals.
The Bluejays were 24-for-31 at the free-throw line and outrebounded BOLD 33-27.
