In a news release, Coleman called the visit "a great chance for me to connect with local citizens and hear their concerns, and I am hopeful that as many local residents as possible can attend the policy events we have scheduled each day."
Coleman said the things he learns while traveling in Minnesota have an effect on his work in Washington.
In addition to his major public events, Coleman has scheduled a number of other stops during his visit.
Starkey Labs in Glencoe and Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative in Renville are on the senator's schedule for today. He'll attend a Marshall Chamber of Commerce event and meet with executives of The Schwan Food Co. in Marshall in the evening.
Coleman will tour Divine Providence Community Home in Ivanhoe on Wednesday. He will meet with residents and officials in Morris and visit the Madison Hospital and Lac qui Parle Clinic in Madison.
