The communities of New London, Spicer and Willmar are preparing to welcome home Army Pfc. Ryane Clark, who was killed Oct. 4 in Afghanistan.
People are planning to line much of the route along the procession route from Willmar to New London.
New London citizens are planning to line the streets into downtown. Spicer has tied yellow ribbons on poles along the highway. A Kandiyohi County Cooperative crew has a flag raised along state Highway 23. Kennedy Elementary students in Willmar plan to wave American flags along the route.
The plane carrying Clark's body is scheduled to land in Willmar at about 12:30 p.m. today. A procession through Willmar, Spicer and New London will be at about 1 p.m.
The procession will leave the Willmar Airport and travel east on Minnesota Highway 40 to Willmar, then east through the city on Willmar Avenue.

The procession will turn north onto Kandiyohi County Road 9 at the east edge of Willmar and continue north to Minnesota Highway 23.
From the intersection of County Road 9 and Highway 23, the procession will follow Highway 23 through Spicer and on to New London, where it will turn onto Minnesota Highway 9 to downtown New London.
Visitation for Clark is 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at New London-Spicer High School. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the high school gymnasium.
