SPICER -- Connie Jean Sweere, 53, of Spicer died unexpectedly Wednesday at her home in Spicer.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cross Roads Community United Methodist Church near Spicer. Burial will be in Lake Andrew Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church and for one hour prior to the service Saturday. Arrangements are by Green Lake Funeral Home in Spicer.

She was born June 22, 1955, in Wadena to Lorraine Katherine (Tetrault) and Lyle Norton Grow. She grew up and received her education in the Wadena community, graduating from Wadena High School in 1973. She continued her education at Wadena Technical College.
She married Kevin John Sweere in the summer of 1974 in Wadena. They lived in Wadena, and she worked for Kennedy-Nervig Law Office for 17 years. In 1991, she moved with her children to Spicer. She was employed as a secretary by Schmidt, Thompson, Johnson and Moody law offices. She worked for the Rice Hospice Program in 2002, writing grants and providing computer and secretarial support.
She was an active member of Cross Roads Community United Methodist Church, where she served in the ladies aid, on several committees and as Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by three sons: Derek Sweere of Willmar, Brian (and Kelly) Sweere of Sunburg and Nick Sweere of Spicer; three grandchildren; her mother: Lorraine Taggart of Wadena; her special friend: Mike Ritter of Willmar; siblings: Steve (and Naomi) Grow of Coon Rapids, Joanne (and Donald) Line of Verndale and Cheryl (and Kirk) Scholz of Burnsville; and stepsiblings: Douglas (and Karen) Conn of Albert Lea, Jerry (and Char) Conn of Detroit Lakes, Michael (and Tammy) Conn of Red Lake Falls and Carol (and Jerry) Pounds of Blaine.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1964.
