SPICER -- Constance Marie "Connie" Jerabek, 56, of Spicer died Tuesday at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Spicer. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Harvey Anderson Fuenral Home in Willmar, with a parish prayer service at 7 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

She was born Oct. 20, 1950, in Langdon, N.D., to Hugh and Audrey (Hladik) Schefter. She grew up in Langdon and graduated from St. Alphonsus Elementary and High School in 1968. She received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Dakota in 1972.

She married Clifford Jerabek on Oct. 28, 1972, in Willmar. They moved to George Lake near Spicer in 1973. She worked as a nurse at Rice Memorial Hospital, most recently in the operating room, and retired in 2005.

She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Spicer. She was active in CCW, the annual bazaar, and on the sunshine committee. She also volunteered with the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her husband; daughters: Jennifer (and Rick) Hasslen of Grand Forks, N.D., Julie (and Kyle) Jarnagin of San Antonio, Texas, Janelle (and James) Scherer of Sartell; two grandchildren; her mother of Langdon, N.D.; and two siblings: Helen (and Andre) Perry of Winnipeg, Canada, and Dan (and Cathy Schefter of Langdon, N.D.

Shewas preceded in death by her father.
