WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Commissioners will discuss concerns about their decision to remove the diving platform from Saulsbury Beach in Spicer when the board meets Tuesday.
The diving tower was not installed at the beach this year because of safety and liability concerns. Spicer residents and the City Council there have asked the county to reconsider the action.
Saulsbury Beach is in the Spicer city limits, but it is a county park.
That issue is on the agenda at 11:30 a.m.
The commissioners will begin their regular meeting at 10 a.m. on the second floor of the Health and Human Services Building.

Other items on the agenda include a proposal to request funding for an interchange at the intersection of County Road 5 and state Highway 23, bid letting for a bridge replacement program, several law enforcement grants and contracts and funding for body armor for the Sheriff's Department.
The commissioners will also take action on a construction agreement with Renville County for a road project that goes through both counties.
Following a lunch break, the commissioners will reconvene at 2 p.m. for a joint hearing with Meeker County on Ditch 11.
Prior to the regular meeting, the commissioners will meet as the family services board at 9 a.m.
The Health and Human Services Building is located at 2200 23rd St N.E.
