SPICER — A break-in was reported at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday at a garage at the Old Mill Inn Resort in Spicer. A chainsaw, weed whip and backpack leaf blower, all the Stihl brand, were reported missing. The caller told law enforcement the theft would have happened between 6 p.m. Monday and noon Tuesday.
WILLMAR — A vacuum that customers pay to use was reported broken into at 1:37 p.m. Tuesday at the Little Dukes convenience store at 1300 Fifth Street Southeast in Willmar. The caller said all the quarters in the vacuum had been taken.
ATWATER — A male suspect was taken into custody around 10 a.m. Wednesday at a home at the 200 block of Main Street South in Atwater, after the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force, Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office and the Atwater Police Department found the man following the execution of a search warrant.
The suspect was found hiding in a crawl space at the home and was taken into custody without incident.
The warrant was connected to information about the suspect, who had several active warrants, including one for felony domestic assault, the news release from the Sheriff's Office said.
Pedestrian hit by car
WILLMAR — No one was injured when a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle around 11:31 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of First Street South and Kandiyohi Avenue Southwest in Willmar.
According to the Willmar Police Department, the vehicle hit the pedestrian, who was in the crosswalk, at a slow rate of speed. By the time law enforcement arrived, the pedestrian had gotten up and refused medical treatment.
