Burglary

WILLMAR — A burglary was reported at 11:48 p.m. Wednesday at a property on the 500 block of Litchfield Avenue Southeast. The caller reported a 55-inch television, five watches, a pair of Nike Jordan tennis shoes and a cash box with $200 was taken from the property.

Car hit by semi in Meeker County

CEDAR MILLS TOWNSHIP — A Litchfield woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after her vehicle was struck by a semi at approximately 9:22 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of state Highway 7 and County Road 1 in Cedar Mills Township, Meeker County.

Peggy Ann Eddy, 65, was transported to Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Eddy was driving a 2017 Chevy Impala southbound on County Road 1. The Impala failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and was struck by a semi.

The 2002 Peterbilt Semi, driven by Jared Michael Robuck, 32, of Carver, was westbound on Highway 7. Robuck was not injured.

Flying debris from the impact then hit a 2018 Ford Fusion, driven by Stanley Harvey Freese, 79, of Murdock. Freese was not injured.

All drivers were wearing seat belts, and alcohol was not involved, according to the State Patrol report.
