Arrests made after car hits several signs
WILLMAR — Two people were arrested after a vehicle hit multiple signs around 6:15 a.m. Saturday on First Street South, near McDonald's, in Willmar.
Law enforcement found the vehicle's driver several blocks away, who was examining the damage to the vehicle, the incident report said.
Both the driver and passenger were arrested on drug and other charges. There were no injuries.
WILLMAR — Law enforcement had to tell a driver that having people hanging from his vehicle while driving is unsafe and illegal.
A caller reported to dispatch that two people were hanging off the side of a minivan around 10 p.m. Saturday in the Willmar Walmart parking lot.
When law enforcement arrived, the driver of the van said their friends had jumped on the back of the van as he was driving slowly in the parking lot. The driver told law enforcement they would not do that anymore.
WILLMAR — A vehicle on fire was reported at 5:29 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of 37th Avenue Northeast and Kandiyohi County Road 9 in Willmar.
According to the incident report, the vehicle got stuck in some snow. As the driver and passenger tried to get the vehicle unstuck it caught fire.
Responding to the scene were the Willmar Police Department, Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office and the Willmar Fire Department.
