WILLMAR — A 52-year-old Willmar woman was arrested Thursday night following a fender-bender in a business parking lot in the 100 block of Litchfield Avenue Southeast in Willmar.

There were no injuries in the incident, but according to the police report, when officers responded to the crash alcohol was detected on a driver of one of the vehicles. She was charged with driving while intoxicated and for having an open bottle.

Noisy utility plant

WILLMAR — A call to police at 3:27 a.m. Thursday reported as the sound of continuous gun shots turned out to be a vent on the utility plant located on Litchfield Avenue Southwest.


WILLMAR — An individual in the 1100 block of Willmar Avenue Southwest reported a fraudulent phone call Wednesday morning that threatened to shut off their power in 30 minutes unless their electrical bill was paid.

Suspicious person

WILLMAR — A call to police at 5:14 p.m. Thursday reported a suspicious person wearing a green jumpsuit and a handcuff walking down Benson Avenue. When police investigated, the man said he was wearing a costume and was on his way to the VFW to play darts.
