Arrests

WILLMAR — After fielding a complaint at 12:52 p.m. Saturday that a motorist was nearly rear-ended by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 71 south near 120th Avenue Southeast, a 48-year-old woman was arrested on drinking-and-driving related charges.

WILLMAR — A 56-year-old woman was arrested on suspected drinking-and-driving related charges at 12 p.m. Saturday at the state Highway 23 Bypass at First Street South. The arrest was made following a call to police indicating that the woman was driving from lane-to-lane making it impossible to pass the vehicle.

KANDIYOHI —A 26-year-old man was arrested at 3:02 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of Eighth Street South on multiple local warrants after police responded to a report of a domestic situation.

Fraud

WILLMAR — Police investigated a potential case of fraud following a report at 7:11 p.m. Friday from a resident who indicated they'd received an unexpected check in the mail with their name on it but when they attempted to cash it, they were notified by the bank that the account came from an account that was closed.

WILLMAR — An individual in the 2000 block of 120th Avenue Southwest told police at 11:59 a.m. Friday they had received a fraudulent check that apparently exceeded the amount requested and the individual sent $1,800 back in money orders.

Gunshot

PRINSBURG —Police responded to a call at 10:55 p.m. Friday from Rice Memorial Hospital that an individual in the 400 block of Cardinal Drive had suffered an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg.

Stolen vehicle recovered

WILLMAR — A vehicle that had been reported stolen at 6:52 a.m. Sunday from the 400 block of Litchfield Avenue Southwest was recovered at 12:25 p.m. at a rural location south of Willmar on 75th Avenue Southwest.
