MONTEVIDEO – A home invasion burglary shortly before 6 p.m. Saturday in Montevideo resulted in injury to the home’s occupant. According to a news release from the Montevideo Police Department, medical attention was provided by responding police officers and CCMH Ambulance.

The suspects, described as two white males wearing black hooded sweatshirts, left the scene on Lynsee Lane before officers arrived. A witness also stated that a black Dodge Stratus-style vehicle left the area in a hurry. 

At this time, there is no imminent or immediate threat to the public, police said in the news release. The incident is currently under investigation and anyone with knowledge or information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Montevideo Police Department.

Also responding to the scene Saturday were the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office, Clara City Police Department, Lac qui Parle County Sheriff's Office, Yellow Medicine County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
