Grove City man hurt in one-vehicle accident

GROVE CITY — A Grove City man was injured in a one-vehicle accident early Wednesday morning in Meeker County.

The accident was reported at 1:41 a.m. on state Highway 4, near 547th Avenue, north of Grove City.

According to the State Patrol, Maxwell Shane Johnson, 27, was driving a 2019 Ford Edge south on Highway 4 when the vehicle went off the road, vaulted over 547th Avenue and came to rest in the ditch.

Johnson was taken to CentraCare in St. Cloud with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol.

Road conditions were dry at the time and alcohol was not a factor.

Driver suffers minor injuries in collision with cow in Meeker County

LITCHFIELD — A 21 year-old man suffered minor injuries when the vehicle he was driving struck a cow that was on a roadway at 5:01 a.m. Tuesday in Greenleaf Township of Meeker County.

Alexandro Jackson, of Litchfield, was driving on the 61000 block of County Road 28 when the collision occurred, according to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office. He declined medical treatment at the scene.


WILLMAR — A man told police he was threatened outside of the Walmart store on 19th Avenue Southeast by an unknown man with a knife and gun at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Harassing letters

WILLMAR — Three Willmar area residents reported receiving threatening and slanderous letters on Tuesday.


WILLMAR — A man entered a building Tuesday afternoon on the 900 block of Pacific Avenue Southwest in Willmar and stole tools, it was reported to police.

Suspicious man

WILLMAR — Police responded to a report that a man wearing only underwear and carrying a knife was cutting through private property at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday on the 3100 block of Seventh Avenue Northwest.
