MONTEVIDEO — A drug bust early Thursday in Montevideo resulted in the arrest of one individual and confiscation of an estimated $91,000 in heroin.
According to a news release posted on the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the Montevideo Police Department and the CEE-VI Drug & Gang Task Force conducted a search in the “morning hours” Thursday at a home in the 700 block of Kingman Street.
According to the news release, law enforcement found nearly one pound of heroin, one ounce of cocaine and one ounce of marijuana at the residence.
The street value of the heroin could be close to $91,000, according to the CEE-VI Drug Task Force.
A 27-year-old man was arrested on charges of first-degree possession and first-degree possession — intent to sell.
He is currently being held in the Chippewa County Jail pending a court appearance.
Although the news release includes the man’s name, the West Central Tribune typically does not publish names of suspects until they are formally charged in court.
