Officer restrains woman during argument

WILLMAR — A Willmar police officer had to physically restrain a woman during an argument over a phone around 9:24 a.m. Wednesday on the 200 block of Becker Avenue Southeast.

According to the report, a woman told law enforcement that another woman had taken her aunt's phone. The woman making the report requested an officer stand by while she went to the other woman’s house to get the phone.

While the officer was there, the woman got into a heated dispute with two people in the home and the officer had to physically restrain her before instructing her to leave.

The phone was eventually given back to the aunt, according to the report.

Assault

WILLMAR — An assault was reported around 10:39 p.m. Tuesday on the 1700 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast.

Bad check

WILLMAR — A bad check was reported around 8:03 a.m. Wednesday on the 3300 block of First Street South.

Theft

PRINSBURG — A set of tires and rims was reported stolen around 9:03 a.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of Pleasant Avenue.

According to the report, four tires and rims were stolen.

Driver goes into ditch

WILLMAR — Law enforcement responded to an incident around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when a vehicle went into a ditch at the intersection of 30th Street and 15th Avenue Northwest.

According to the report, the driver went through the intersection and into a ditch, possibly due to an overdose or seizure. The driver was sweating and had “white stuff” coming out of his mouth.

The man was cleared by ambulance personnel and his parents said that they would take him to the hospital.
