Police reunite daughter with family after reported kidnapping

WILLMAR — A 27-year-old man was arrested following a short police pursuit around 12:57 p.m. Wednesday on the 4900 block of U.S. Highway 12 West.

According to the report, a parent initially called to report that their daughter had called her to say that she was locked inside West Side Storage.

The daughter was reunited with her family following a response of over a dozen law enforcement officers and deputies from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office and the Willmar Police Department.

The man is currently in the Kandiyohi County Jail pending charges of felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle and gross demeanor domestic abuse charges.

Warrant arrest following foot pursuit, charges added

WILLMAR — A 41-year-old man was arrested on a warrant after a foot pursuit around 8:37 a.m. Thursday on the 1000 block of Fourth Street Southwest.

According to the report, the man is now facing new fifth-degree drug charges.

The man is currently in custody at the Kandiyohi County Jail.

Warrant arrest

WILLMAR — A 28-year-old man was arrested on a warrant around 3:17 p.m. Thursday on the 1200 block of Business 71 North.


WILLMAR — An assault was reported around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday on the 3400 block of Fourth Avenue Northwest.

According to the report, possible assault charges have been sent to the city attorney for review.

Planters stolen from graveyard

LAKE LILLIAN — Planters and flowers were reported stolen around 10:06 a.m. Thursday from a cemetery on the 19000 block of 120th Street Southeast.

Gang graffiti

WILLMAR — Law enforcement located gang graffiti in two separate places around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

One location was on First Street North and one was on the 100 block of Litchfield Avenue Southwest.
