WILLMAR — Multiple people were arrested Tuesday evening after fleeing police who were executing a search warrant for stolen firearms on the 600 block of Lakeland Drive Southeast, according to a news release from Sgt. Ross Ardoff, commander of the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force.

According to Ardoff, those who attempted to flee were apprehended and others were located inside the residence and a garage on the property. An infant was also present.

Law enforcement uncovered numerous firearms including one firearm that had been reported stolen and another one with the serial number removed. An illegal sawed-off, short-barreled shotgun was also seized.

A secondary search warrant was obtained to seize methamphetamine, butane hash oil, synthetic cannabinoids and other controlled substances and drug paraphernalia that were found inside the house and garage.

According to law enforcement records, a 29-year-old man, a 26-year-old man and two 23-year-old men were arrested on felony fifth-degree drug charges and are currently in the Kandiyohi County Jail.

A 24-year-old woman was also arrested on a felony fifth-degree drug charge but is in custody at the Meeker County Jail due to a COVID-19 outbreak at the Kandiyohi County Jail.

The investigation is active and ongoing.

The Willmar Police Department SWAT team assisted during the incident.
