WILLMAR — A 41-year-old man was arrested Wednesday evening in the 1800 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast on suspicion of violating a harassment restraining order.
WILLMAR — A 49-year-old man was arrested Wednesday evening after fleeing the scene of a crash at Lake Avenue and Ninth Street Northwest. Charges include suspicion of driving while impaired, possession of a firearm under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
WILLMAR — A 65-year-old man turned himself in on a warrant Thursday morning at the Kandiyohi County Law Enforcement Center.
SPICER — A 41-year-old man was arrested on a Department of Corrections warrant and taken to jail Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities received four reports Thursday morning that someone tried to fraudulently collect unemployment benefits. The reports came from Belgrade, Atwater, Spicer and Willmar.
Atwater woman injured in farm accident
ATWATER — A 79-year-old woman from Atwater was injured Wednesday after being dragged by a piece of farm equipment.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was airlifted for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported around 4:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 18000 block of U.S. Highway 12 Northeast in Gennessee Township.
According to the sheriff’s report, the woman had become tangled in a piece of farm equipment and was dragged about 400 yards into a field.
The Atwater Ambulance Service, Atwater Fire Department, Carris Health Ambulance and Life Link Air Ambulance assisted at the scene.
