A Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputy on routine patrol identified the vehicle as one that had been reported stolen Wednesday in Minneapolis, according to a news release from Sgt. Robbie Braness of the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
The driver pulled into a residence to try to avoid the deputy. The driver, a 29-year-old man from Willmar, got out of the vehicle, confronted the deputy and refused to listen to commands. A second deputy arrived, and the man was taken into custody. A female passenger, a 30-year-old woman from Willmar, was also arrested.
According to the news release, the two are in the Kandiyohi County Jail awaiting formal charges.
